Customer service from this one dude is trash. Just because my billing and shipping didn’t match doesn’t mean you treat people like a convict right off the bat. I’d be frustrated but understandable with the policy. But not the snarky attitude making me feel like I’m some credit card scammer. Just how ignorant and narrow minded can you be? i just moved a month ago and haven’t had time to update my address at the bank yet.

“30 years of this, 30 years of that.”

Placed an order online for sling mounts, a light mount, and a light for a shotgun. I picked up an old 930 at the local pawn shop for stuff around the farm. My dad used their mounts on his duty shotgun for years, and so did I on my issued shotgun. I always liked them.

Received a call from the director of sales today telling me that they have a policy that any first time purchasers need to have matching billing and shipping addresses.

Nowhere under their shipping and handling information on their website does it state this. But I get it; it’s for fraud protection.

Mind you, I also ordered parts from Mossberg, Esstac, and Gunner Solutions in the same day, and all of those parts shipped without an issue.

So I explained that we just bought our house here, and I haven’t had time to run down to the bank (or really anything of the sort) between remodeling the house, getting utilities switched over, and getting USDA farm paperwork sorted out.

I worked in shipping for an online store when I was a kid, and whenever we had an inclination about separate addresses, we would verify with the customer. So I offered to email them a quick picture of the physical card, along with my ID, and I’d even send it to them with me holding both so they could see.

I got told that this unwritten policy is strict, it’s been in place for 30 years, and there’s no way around it, and that my order was getting cancelled.

I want to buy American made. I don’t mind dealing with an outdated/desktop website, paying more, getting charged for shipping, and waiting longer. But these kinds of interactions make it difficult.

This was the case with Shane, who promptly assisted me in resolving an install question by providing me with an extended machine screw, at no cost, to mount my accessory purchase.
