Booked my van in on Friday morning, waited all day for a phone call, I eventually had to phone them just to be told that they had not had a chance to see to it and told me it would be done on Saturday morning. Saturday morning and no phone call again. Went there Monday morning and the van still hadn't been looked at. Took my keys and left.
I will never use them again, so unprofessional.

I hope you read this before using them.

I recently took my car to D & G Autocare for a service and MOT, and initially, I was impressed by how quickly they took my car in for the service, which was completed in just 40 minutes. However, my experience quickly turned sour when Sean, one of their staff members, called me to inform me that my 4 year old Toyota Aygo with only 16,000 miles on it needed four new tires and front brakes and pads, potentially costing me over £600.

Feeling suspicious, I decided to get a second opinion from another garage, and to my surprise, the story began to change when I informed D & G Autocare that I would be picking up my car. Suddenly, the severity of the issues with my car seemed to improve, and the service that was supposedly completed had not been done at all. They even tried to increase my service fee when I declined to proceed with the MOT.

Upon further inspection from reputable garages, it became clear that D & G Autocare had attempted to rip me off. The back tires they claimed were cracked and unsafe were actually in good condition, with no visible signs of damage. The front right tire did need replacing, but the other front tire was still within safe limits. Additionally, the brakes and pads were not corroded as claimed but did need some attention.

It is evident to me that D & G Autocare engages in dishonest practices to scam unsuspecting customers. The fact that they had multiple mechanics sitting idle while I was there further supports this conclusion. I hope this review serves as a warning to others to avoid this establishment at all costs!

My L200 has bean in with D&G over the past years and have fund them to be good but not now ther must be a chang in staff as thay have had my L200 in week after week with is Feeling its emissions test but seemingly unable to do a region now is outside is 10 days and needs a new mot funny that and I had to get a Specialist to sort the regime problem and I ask them to Put on a new air con belt.But you couldn't tell a difference between the fan belt and thought it was all right , even though there is no bell on because it broke off this will be the last time My truck go to D&G

Had some engine overheating issues on my way home from Edinburgh airport today. Came off the M8 into Livingston to look for a garage to help me out and I came across D&G Autocare. The guys were fantastic and went out their way to help me out and get the car rolling again. Top marks. Have a great Xmas and all the best in 2024!!!

Great service from this company, the manager Scott was very accommodating, managing to identify and fix the issue with my car with no hassle and for a decent price. Really happy with service we have received from our new go to garage. Went to my normal place and they quoted £900 to repair my car after a recommendation from a friend tried d&g and they repaired for £500 refreshing to deal with an honest garage for a change.

A full service should include a oil filter change, and should be the correct oil for the car.
