Booked a room here for 8 people to play Black Dragon. Each room is intricately designed and aesthetically pleasing to the theme.

Puzzles are not too hard and each room has its own unique genre of them.

I would say that it is more of a nonlinear escape room as some puzzles we finished before others. Thus, it is super important to communicate what is done and not done.

We all had a great time and would recommend going if you are intrigued by the theme.

My biggest gripe would be parking - luckily we were able to find one close by but it is downtown LA so plan accordingly.

Super fun escape room thats worth the price point. I had a $20 off coupon so each person in my group of 5 paid $42. The production quality is top notch, they really knew how to design the set.

Parking can be a bit of a pain. We just opted for joe’s parking lot down the street and paid a flat fare of $20.

Friendly staff and fun room. There was a lot of detail to be admired. The game had a task for everyone. If street parking is hard to find there is a parking lot next to it for a fee.

I'm rating 5 stars for the staff, the theming, and the overall puzzle design. ?

We were scheduled to do Atlantis with 3 people, but there was a scheduling error and they double booked the room. They offered us the option to reschedule or refund. We chose to reschedule later in the day which was very inconvenient, but the owner(manager) gave us a deal for the mistake and he was great.

We ended up doing Black Dragon with 3 people and it was really well done. The theming was excellent. They did a great job capturing the vibe with props, lighting and even audio at times.

The puzzles were challenging and most were very unique. We did accidentally brute force one and ended up doing things a bit out of order, but it didn't negatively affect things much.

We managed to finish in like 59 minutes (!) and got one hint. One of our members had never done an escape room before but between myself and the other member, we had over twenty.

I recommend it!

Many of the mechanisms didn’t work which made it harder to complete the puzzles. There’s also no parking nearby and they only give a 10 minute grace period before starting the game because they book parties back to back with one person working there. The front door is also locked so you have to stand outside for 15-20 minutes before someone comes down to let you in. Staff is rude and combined with the other issues, we won’t be back.

I went to Escape Room LA twice in one day (7/9/22) to celebrate my birthday. We did The Pyramid room and Atlantis. The rooms were well put together and it was good for my larger groups cause there were multiple puzzles you could work on at the same time.

We had a great experience with The Pyramid room. The game master was engaging and we got lucky with some guessing so after we escaped, he offered to explain the puzzles we didn't quite fully understand. I left excited to come back for the next one!

BUT... later in the evening, we came back for Atlantis. The game master had a bad attitude from the very beginning. She glared at us as we walked through the front door, she was rude the entire time, and made the experience unanimously awkward & uncomfortable. She never told us if/how we could ask for a hint and it wasn't until near the very end when I found her standing in the first room on her phone. When we finally asked for a hint, she refused with a snarky remark. Compared to all other escape rooms I've done in the past, she was the WORST game master by a long shot. We escaped, no thanks to the host. I understand people have bad days but looking at the past reviews, it doesn't seem like this horrible service is a one off. I think everyone that had their experience ruined by this lady should get a FULL REFUND. She made the overall experience a waste of money and a waste of time.

If we didn't have such a great time doing The Pyramid room earlier in the day, I would've rated this place zero stars if I could. She was the BIGGEST DOWNER to my birthday celebration and if I had known we were going to have such a horrible host, I would not have chosen to come back. I wouldn't return to this establishment unless I could be guaranteed that she wasn't our game master.

Wow, this was such an incredible experience start to finish. I’d played a lot of puzzle-based video games but never an escape room, and I was unprepared for the amount of craft and hidden tech that went into our game. We finished with 12 seconds left on the clock and all left feeling like Nancy Drew.

That was awesome. We were in the Alchemist room. We nearly made it out, but took a bit too long. The puzzles and clues were so interesting and entertaining. I can't wait to go back and try a different room.
