Booked and paid nearly $12k for a Japan trip advertised as available only to be told it isn't actually available. After nearly 2 weeks G-adventures have not returned a cent and won't advise when they will. My rare leave from work has been ruined by G-adventures as they failed to provide an advertised service yet are withholding such a significant amount of money preventing an alternative holiday.

Went to Uluṟu, landed and had no idea what my itinerary was, only a few words at the bottom of a long document.

I never knew what was going on, I only knew I had 6:15 start the next day because I called someone. There was no one from G Adventures to offer support or guidance. It was sold as a 3 day tour, but by midday on day 2 I was told there was nothing more on the itinerary!
Not only that, but the optional extras were never offered to me, the woman on the phone had no idea they existed!

Because I didn’t know my itinerary, I didn’t book any experiences in advance because I was under the impression it would be taken care of. So I couldn’t do the fight tour of Uluṟu Kata Tjuṯa that was included as an optional extra

The fact that more than half of the package tour were things I arranged myself is ridiculous

Paid for a tour of India for my girlfriend for a bit over $1700. The hotels they booked for her were less than $10 a night, all but one had running hot water. Most had damp, mouldy mattresses, brown stained sheets, and dead rodents in the bathrooms. Absolute joke. I would book the tour if you want to pay nearly $2000, not including flights and food, to experience living in abject poverty for 2 weeks.

Would Not Recommend!!!!! I booked an Inca Trail Tour with G adventures departing on the 5th April. I received my booking confirmation and my deposit had been taken. A week later they rang because some of our booking information was "Missing" which at the time they couldn't tell me how that happened - as you can't actually confirm a booking without all the required information in the first place. Then another 2 weeks later they casually send an email to let me know that date is unfortunately "not available". No apology, no compensation offered, just badluck! Obviously this has major implications to my travel plans, as everything else had been booked and paid for around doing the tour on those specific dates. When dealing with their customer service team, Jose was unsympathetic and continued to remind me how "this was not the companies fault" and that the booking had been impacted by a 3rd party travel agent who had tried to take over the booking, which resulted in the missing information, which resulted in the delay of booking the permits by which time were sold out. Apparently the fact that a 3rd party travel agent has the ability to change and impact G Adventures booking system without anyone's permission is not their systems fault, but mine. Despite all the inconvenience caused to myself and my travel plans - G adventures were not willing to offer any discounted rate on another booking date.

i have recently completed the everest base camp tour with g adventures. we left on the 9th of march right as the lock downs were starting to come in. Im genrally not the reviewing type but i was very impressed with how it was handled Suraj our guide constantly kepted us informed about what was happening and also giving us options along the way to turn back and make arrangements although we decided to keep going with the tour he was a great bloke also he didnt just look out for the groups saftey but he made a genuine effort to connect with everybody on the tour and after wards as people were getting stuck he also offered to look after anyone from the tour in his home untill they could a way to leave the country. Suraj went above and behond to look after everyone also the tour was great would highly reccommend

Love their adventures, however their wait times on the phones are VERY long. Was waiting on the phone for 45 mins from (9am till 9:45am) and had to hang up. (Melbourne time). Pretty poor. I'm now on hold again, its 2:13pm... I'm hoping the response time might be a bit quicker, but I'm doubtful.
