Not just the best Reuben at the market (an open Reuben, really?) but possibly the best sandwich I've ever eaten. The add on black pudding (just $3) is a game changer and I'm counting the days until I can eat it again.

Nice produce but lack the full service and quality you would expect from a premium butcher. Definitely enjoyed some good steaks from G.McBean but have noticed a lot of the staff have a lack of knowledge on the cuts, so avoid asking for tips or advice. Also disappointing experience with their premium wagyu cuts, for $290/kg I received an uneven cut (see picture, the thickness was double at one end relative to the other which is hard to cook evenly) and I was also cut a piece at a very different weight to what was ordered - probably should have asked them to try again!

Had THE BEST Ruben’s Sandwich from here on Saturday morning.

Piping hot, fresh, crispy toasted bread, with a sprinkle of salt flakes, tender and tasty corned beef, lovely sauce and a good sized pickle on the side.

Glad we took some advice and shared on sandwich between the two of us. The serving size and proportions was enough for an early winter morning brunch snack between market shopping.

Want to try their wagyu steak sandwich or egg and bacon roll next time.

They’re ready to cook Beef Wellingtons are also a winner. Have purchased twice previously and will buy them again.

Fantastic range of high quality & specialty salamis & pepper sausages plus great service. I often buy their small goods as gifts for friends & they’re always popular. Had their beef Wellington tonight & it was a cracker. I’ll be back for more.

No words do justice to their product. Went in today for steak and their staff member was really friendly. She gave me some options and when I mentioned I hadn’t had dried meat before, she said I should go for it. Got a scotch fillet and a sirloin and have no words. It was amazing… I’ve been to top 50 world restaurants but this was incredible. Definitely going back

Went to Gary’s for the first time and we’ll be back! Beautiful beef fillet for our steak tartare, and it was perfectly prepared making things super easy for us! The shop is friendly, clean and filled with so many delicious things we can’t wait to try 🙂

Had the lamb souvlaki for lunch - huge disappointment. Lamb was overcooked, tough and stone cold. The pieces we got were full of sinew and unpleasant.
The bread and tzatziki were nice but expected better meat.

The meat looks very fresh, the staff are friendly and they offer some unique cuts that are hard to find anywhere else. Also try the sausages... Highly recommended
